Rummy

A rummy board is the playing area for the game of rummy. The rummy boards in MPL can accommodate two to five players.

In every game of Indian Rummy, a conventional deck of cards is utilized, featuring two jokers each. These joker rummy cards depict a jester in the court. The wild card, also known as the wild joker, is selected at random from the deck at the start of the game. This joker card serves as a substitute or a replacement for any missing cards when attempting to form a set or an impure sequence in Rummy.

Rummy is referred to as a draw and discard game because each player simultaneously picks one card and discards another during their turn. The objective is to collect and discard cards in order to create sequences and sets that match the required combinations.

In Rummy matches, the dealer hands out the cards to every player at the start of the game. At casinos and in-person rummy tables, there's a person responsible for distributing the cards to each player.
